Braves dominate Griffin, secure playoff bid

The final game of the regular season ended on a high note for Baldwin Friday night. The Braves defeated Griffin 47-14 at Braves Field for their first home victory of 2022. A pair of players - running back Micah Welch and linebacker Nasir Robinson had special nights.

GCSU Volleyball named No. 4 for Peach Belt Conference tourney

Georgia College & State University (GCSU) Volleyball picked up the No. 4 seed for the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament after finishing its regular season with a 7-8 record. The conference made the change this year for teams to play each other three times.

Georgia’s defense rises to the occasion against Tennessee

Tennessee entered Saturday’s matchup against Georgia ranked No. 1 nationally in scoring offense (49.4 points per game) and total offense (530.1 yards per game).

GCSU soccer concludes first season under Marchant

Georgia College & State University (GCSU) soccer ended its 2022 fall season with a 5-8-3 overall record, going 4-4-2 in the Peach Belt Conference. Under new head coach Jack Marchant, the Bobcats opened their season Aug. 26, on the road in Florida for a two-game slate.

Jubilant Joey back in Championship form

It was the perfect ending to a season Joey Logano started with a win. Dominating the action in Sunday’s Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway, Logano started on the pole, won the first stage, led a race-high 187 laps, won the race and claimed his second series championship (2018, 2022).
