After 30 years, the Georgia Outdoor Writers Association (GOWA) returned to Milledgeville April 18-21 to host its annual spring conference. According to its website, GOWA is an organization of professional journalists, editors, photographers and television personalities that cover hunting, fishing and conservation in Georgia.

April is designated as National Autism Acceptance Month, but Georgia College’s Center for Health and Social Issues, along with the Life Enrichment Center (LEC), hopes to bring awareness beyond just a month.

Cars lined Irwinton Road on Saturday for C&B Meat Market’s first Spring Festival and Outdoor Market that offered food, entertainment, and local vendors. Open for three years this February, C&B Meat Market is a family-run business focusing on meat processing and retail.

Georgia College & State University’s front campus was flooded with guests and vendors at Baldwin County’s 10th annual ArtHealthy Festival this weekend. According to its website, the goal of the festival is to “promote art and healthy living in Central Georgia.” The celebration was free and open for the public to attend.
