McIntosh runs wild on a career day in Lexington

No. 1 Georgia turned to running back Kenny McIntosh to carry the load Saturday. The senior had a career game as the Bulldogs defeated Kentucky 16-6 to wrap up SEC play. McIntosh rushed for a careerhigh 143 yards on 19 attempts with Georgia’s only TD in the win.

Braves, War Eagles hold scrimmage

The Putnam County boys’ basketball team got to scrimmage Baldwin High last week in Milledgeville before the season opener against Northside (Columbus) on Tuesday. The Braves, who ranked No. 4 in Class AAAA defeated the War Eagles, 62-55.

Historic night awaits JMA in first round of playoffs

Bulldogs clinch SEC East with W over Miss State

Top-ranked Georgia checked off another box Saturday on its list of goals this season: clinch the SEC East. The Bulldogs traveled to Starkville to take on Mississippi State and came away with a 45-19 win.

Bulldogs prepare for second consecutive road game

After traveling to Starkville to defeat Mississippi State 45-19 last Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs (10-0, 7-0) will have to head back on the road to take on the Kentucky Wildcats (6-4, 3-4) this weekend.

Big Blue takes the prize at fishing tournament

Trojans notch close win on historic night

John Milledge Academy quarterback Briggs Eady accounted for all of the team’s four TDs, and made an important play on defense at the end of the game, as the Trojans defeated region foe Tattnall Square Academy 28-21 last Friday night in Macon.
