The John Milledge Academy football team has been working hard in the weight room and on the field this summer preparing for the upcoming season. The Trojans are winners of 36 straight games and have won the last three Georgia Independent School Association (GISA) Class AAA state championships.

USA softball secured the gold medal at the world games as they took down the Japanese national team in a 3-2 nailbiter. The red, white, and blue went undefeated and picked up three mercy rule wins. The USA also only gave up four earned runs through their five-game slate.

The USA national softball team went 2-0 on the first day of play as they took on the Italian National Team and the Chinese Taipei. The first game for the red, white, and blue was against team Italy where they picked up a 6-0 win. There were several players in the lineup who had a multi-hit game.

The USA softball team picked up their third win of the World Games with a 10-2 victory over the Canadian national team. They went 2-0 in day one and have improved to 3-0. There was only one player in the lineup with multiple hits in the contest as most of the order had a lone hit.
