After a devastating loss to LaGrange High School in the first round of state playoffs last year, the Baldwin Braves come into this season with a chip on their shoulders.

GC volleyball adds 10 newcomers to 2022 roster

The Georgia College Volleyball team looks forward to their 2022 season with five returners and 10 newcomers. Head Coach Gretchen Krumdiek did some heavy duty recruiting leading to the commitment of an extremely qualified freshman class. The newcomers consist of six freshmen.

GC volleyball serves up fall slate starting with a home match

The Georgia college volleyball team has announced their fall schedule which includes 12 home matches. The season starts off with the Bobcat Classic tournament. GC will kick off their season on August 26th at 6 p.m. against West Virginia State University.

Trojans begin fall practice

The John Milledge Academy football team completed the Georgia Independent School Association’s acclimation period last week and began fall practices on Monday. The Trojans hit the field early this week in full pads for four times a day, which was split up into two-hour increments.

GC Soccer has announced its home fall slate

The Georgia College and State University Women’s Soccer team announce its fall schedule following the hire of new head coach Jack Marchant. The local fans are in for a show as the Bobcats have eight home games scheduled. The first game on home turf for the Bobcats starts out on Sept.

GC baseball players prepare for the new season through summer leagues

Although the regular baseball season has been over for some time, some members of the Georgia College baseball team have been continuing to hone their skills on the field by playing in one of the various collegiate summer leagues that take place around the country.

ATLANTA — Georgia head coach Kirby Smart took the main stage’s podium on Wednesday at SEC Media Days and started his press conference off with a nearly nineminute opening statement. He talked about a wide variety of topics before giving one of the more chilling quotes of the four-day-long event.
