GMC Prep returns to playoff contention

Georgia Military College (GMC) has officially made it back to the GHSA State Playoffs for the first time since 2022 after finishing its 2025 regular season with a 4-6 record and going 3-2 in region play.

Trojans take on Cougars in playoff opener

The John Milledge Academy (JMA) football team enjoyed some hard-earned time off last week after sealing the number-one overall seed in GIAA Class AAA state playoffs with a 9-1 regular season record and a region championship.

Bulldogs suffer loss against Wilkinson County Warriors

Georgia Military College (GMC) Prep suffered its first loss since Sep. 5, falling 34-6 in Irwinton to the Wilkinson County Warriors.Irwinton took a 13-0 lead in the first quarter and had extended that advantage to 20-3 by halftime.

Trojans trounce Cavaliers in Macon

John Milledge Academy (9-1, 4-0) remained dominant last Friday, shutting out Mount de Sales (2-8, 1-3) 42-0 in Macon.The Trojans scored 28 unanswered points in the first quarter and 14 in the second to secure the victory in their final game of the regular season.

Bulldogs seek improved playoff picture against Warriors

Following their second bye week of the season, the Georgia Military College (GMC) Prep Bulldogs are heading to Wilkinson County this Friday to take on the Warriors. It’s a matchup that could determine who finishes second in GHSA A D2 Region 5 for the 2025 season.

GMC wins homecoming battle of the Bulldogs

It was a homecoming to remember last Friday for the Georgia Military College (GMC) Prep Bulldogs, who collected their fourth-consecutive win. GMC beat the visiting Hancock Central Bulldogs 36-28, leaving the home team with a 4-4 record for the season, and 3-0 in region play.

Trojans take over top spot with FPD win

Last Friday night’s win in Macon over First Presbyterian Day (6-3, 2-1) may have been the biggest so far this season for John Milledge Academy (7-1, 2-0).

Georgia defense needs to step up against Auburn

The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry will be played for the 130th time this week when Auburn and Georgia meet Saturday night in Alabama.The Tigers (3-2, 0-2) have had an up-and-down season under head coach Hugh Freeze.

GMC remains undefeated in region play

Georgia Military Prep (GMC) improved its season record to 3-4 with a 36-18 win last Friday over Glascock County. More importantly, though, GMC improved to 2-0 in region play thanks to a three-game winning streak.
