After putting together an 18-12 final record and making a run to the GIAA Class 3A state quarterfinals, the John Milledge Academy baseball team had four players receive All-Region honors, with one also receiving All-State honors. Asa Wall was the Trojans’ lone All-Region player, while Bradyn Harrison, Graysen Paradise, and Lane Rhodes joined Wall on the all-region team.
Wall improved tremendously from his freshman to his sophomore season, going from a .351 batting average in 2025 to .393 this year. He also improved his on-base percentage by .104 points, going from .422 to .526 OBP. Wall also logged 35 hits, five home runs, 35 RBIs, 32 runs, 24 walks and 10 stolen bases this season. Defensively, Wall committed zero errors while fielding 33 balls on 33 total chances.
JMA head coach Tucker Bradley added that Rhodes was an important part of the Trojans’ lineup, too, especially as a freshman batting .341 with 29 hits, 23 RBIs, 20 runs, and 15 stolen bases.
“Lane was great for us in the top of the lineup,” Bradley said. “The year he had was special, especially as a freshman. I’m excited to have him for three more years.”
Seniors Paradise and Harrison each had phenomenal seasons to end their high school careers. Paradise threw 66.0 innings while striking out 70 batters, walking just 17, and finishing 2026 with a 3.18 ERA and a 7-4 record.
Harrison was a sparkplug for the offense all season and swiped a team high 20 bases while being caught stealing only once. He batted .349 for the spring with a .509 OBP and had 29 hits, two home runs, 18 RBIs, and 30 runs scored — including an inside-the-park home run in March against Piedmont. Harrison also manned centerfield all season and committed zero errors while recording 46 outs.
“Graysen Paradise was the guy we relied on all year on the bump and (he) provided stability for our staff,” Bradley said. “Bradyn was our heartbeat this year and led us all year on both offense and defense. He was a really fun player to watch.”
Other Trojans receiving honorable mentions for the All-Region team included sophomore Nathan Snow and eighth grader Xay Cheney.
