GWM names King as keynote speaker for writers’ retreat

Robbie King, the new president and CEO of the Eatonton-Putnam Chamber of Commerce, will be one of two keynote speakers at Georgia Writers Museum’s Writers Retreat: Write on the Lake. Scheduled for Feb.21-23, the retreat will take place at the museum, beginning with a 4 p.m.

Construction underway on county pickleball courts

After requests from the community and an explosion in popularity of the sport, Baldwin County will soon welcome 20 brand-new pickleball courts.The new courts will be open this spring at Walter B. Williams Park.

GaDOE recognizes LVP as Reward School

This month, the Georgia Department of Education recognized schools deemed as 2023-24 Reward Schools. The Reward School designation recognizes Title I schools “making the most significant improvements,” according to a press release.

Baldwin County Water Park moves toward phase two

Progress continues on construction for the highly anticipated Baldwin County Water Park, and certain areas of the park are expected to be ready by late May.
