GMC hosts MLK ceremony featuring Maj. Gen. Johnson

On Friday, Jan. 17, Georgia Military College (GMC) held its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ceremony in the NewDay USA Center of Leadership, located at 220 E. Greene St. The annual celebration included guest speaker and U.S. Army veteran, Maj. Gen. Ronald L. Johnson.

Trump’s cabinet nominations take next step toward confirmation

The confirmation hearing for President Donald Trump’s cabinet members is underway, starting with Pete Hegseth on Jan. 14, who was nominated to be the secretary of defense during Trump’s presidency.Hegseth was questioned by the Senate Armed Services Committee.

CRIME WATCH

On Jan. 8, law enforcement was dispatched to Walmart, at 2592 North Columbia St., in reference to shoplifting.Ricky Hartry was inside and not able to pay for all of his items. Asset Protection observed video of Hartry only paying for a belt and fourteen limes, but nothing else.
