Wall of Books offers old and new book selections year-round

Walls of Books in Milledgeville offers a selection of new and used books for the avid reader. Opening in July of 2020, Wall of Books established itself as an affordable bookstore with a vast selection of books and genres.

Development begins for LEC’s Urban Arts Village

Lake Sinclair places 3rd in national real estate searches

Lake Homes Realty, which claims to be the largest lake real estate brokerage firm in the country, recently released its annual “Hot Lakes” list for 2023. Lake Sinclair moved up one spot from last year to No. 3, and Lake Oconee is new to the Top-10 with a No. 8 placement.

GCSU partners with NASA for ‘Sky Party’

GCSU has partnered with NASA to provide interstellar education to the Baldwin County community and beyond. Over the last year, GCSU director of the Science Education Center, Dr. Catrena Lisse, has hosted events funded by a NASA grant.
Milledgeville Garden Club members gathered in Rose Hill at Lockerly Arboretum to learn how Ann Vinson uses her expertise with “Watercolors to Study Nature.” Everyone painted bookmarks to get the feel of the brushes and paints. GWM presents special Valentine’s Crime & Wine

For those looking for something a little different for a Valentine’s Day date this year, Georgia Writers Museum (GWM) is presenting a special Crime & Wine event featuring a lovefueled, Atlanta-based cold case, and wine.

On Jan. 19, law enforcement was dispatched to South Jefferson Street in reference to shots being fired in the area. Upon arrival, two male juveniles were located on Scott Hill Street leaving from the direct area of the reported shots fired.
