Garden Club appoints new officers

    Lynwood and Kathy Chandler welcomed more than 55 members and guests to their home at “Stonecrop Farm” in celebration of Milledgeville Garden Club’s Spring Picnic.

    After a delicious farm-fresh fried chicken, vegetable and dessert meal, Kathy Chandler was honored with a hand-crafted gathering basket as a token of appreciation for her guidance as past MGC President.

    A big round of applause was given to Kathy and her out-going staff, including Joanne Battle, Cindy Ivey, Carolyn Smith, Doriann McEver and Jennifer Pollard. The group also applauded MGC officers being installed by Sherrill Jones including: President Jennifer Pollard, President-elect Ana Edwards, Vice President Sandra Wilder, Secretary Anne Smart, Treasurer Holly Williams, and Parliamentarian Kathy Chandler.

    Everyone was then invited to walk the property, visit the beautiful gardens, and to tour the Chandlers’ circa-1850 guest home.
