Credit card debt in Georgia among highest in nation

March is National Credit Education Month, and according to data from credit reporting giant Experian, Georgia residents have one of the highest credit card debt balances in the nation, with an average $6,569 in credit card debt per resident.

Baldwin recovering from ‘beast’ confirmed as tornado

Baldwin County is currently in recovery mode after a “beast” came through on Sunday. On March 26, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp issued a State of Emergency for Tornadoes and Severe Storms. Multiple counties across Georgia were affected, including Baldwin County.

The Baldwin County Clerk of Superior Court’s Office is under investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, according to Mary Chandler, special agent in charge of the GBI Region 6 office in Milledgeville.

The Mary Vinson Memorial Library will be undergoing renovations on a yet-to-be-announced timeline after receiving $1 million dollar in state funding. The Mary Vinson Memorial Library building was completed in 1986 and has deteriorated overtime due to use.
