The Baldwin County Board of Education recently approved Terri Carty as its new principal of Midway Hills Academy. Originally from Ohio, Carty moved to Milledgeville in 2005 when her husband became the baseball coach at Georgia College & State University.

City council approves moving sewer and water lines

The Milledgeville City Council presented a proclamation and approved two resolutions on Tuesday. The meeting began with a prayer from City Manager Hank Griffeth who was “on the ground” during the tornado that caused disaster on Sunday.

On March 19, law enforcement was dispatched to Dollar General on 207 Roberson Mill Road in reference to a theft. An employee stated that a customer walked out with merchandise without paying. Video footage showed the subject leaving the store with a basket full of merchandise.
