New aquatic center to come to Walter B. Williams Park

During the last Board of Commissioners’ meeting, it was announced that preparations for the aquatic center are underway. In the past, Baldwin County had a swimming pool that was closed due to the cost of rehabilitating it.

Baldwin Schools graduation rate increases to 88.5%

The Baldwin County School District (BCSD) achieved a graduation rate of 88.5 percent and exceeded the overall state average of 84.1 percent by 4.4 percentage points according to the report released by the Georgia Department of Education.

Dog food shoplifted from Walmart On Oct. 11, law enforcement was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft. A loss prevention officer observed a vendor that works for Walmart, identified as Tanautica Farrar, not scan two Purina One dry dog food bags in her cart. The items were valued at $67.96.

OHMS eighth graders recognized as REACH Scholars
