Wall of Books offers old and new book selections year-round

Walls of Books in Milledgeville offers a selection of new and used books for readers of any age. Opening in July 2020, Wall of Books established itself as an affordable bookstore with a vast selection of books and genres.

GMC Prep brings home One Act region championship title

Georgia Military College Preparatory School (GMC Prep) achieved another championship win at this year’s Region 5A Division II One Act competition on Nov. 1 with its performance of Once on This Island, The Musical. One-act competition has regional and state championships.

GMC hosts inaugural College and Career Day

Georgia Military College (GMC) hosted its first-ever College and Career Day on Nov. 2 with more than 375 high school students from 15 different high schools in Georgia responding.

Chicken Salad Chick, a fast-casual chicken salad restaurant concept, announced a new location opening at 1901 N. Columbia St., across from Hobby Lobby, in Milledgeville. The restaurant will welcome guests with a convenient double drive-thru and will celebrate its grand opening on Wednesday, Nov.

High Achievers ‘shine’ at Lake Laurel

The Georgia College & State University (GCSU) High Achievers Program celebrated Lights on Afterschool Oct. 26 with an excursion to Lake Laurel to learn about local ecology through GCSU’s Academic Outreach Department.
