GMC hosts inaugural College and Career Day

Georgia Military College (GMC) hosted its first-ever College and Career Day on Nov. 2 with more than 375 high school students from 15 different high schools in Georgia responding.

The event, held at GMC’s main campus in Milledgeville, was a resounding success, providing attendees with a day of educational enrichment and career exploration.

During the event, students immersed themselves in the diverse pathways of opportunities offered at GMC, received a tour of GMC’s campus, and connected with GMC community partners, where they were able to explore potential post-college career paths and make connections for future opportunities.

One of the highlights of the day was the admissions lab, where interested students were able to get the guidance and support needed as they started their application process.

GMC was pleased to announce that 100% college acceptance was offered to all eligible seniors, further underlining the institution’s commitment to fostering academic success and empowering future leadership.

“We believe that events such as College and Career Day serve as crucial milestones in students' educational journeys, offering them invaluable insights and guidance as they consider their future paths,” said Lt. Gen. (Ret) William B. Caldwell, IV, Georgia Military College president. “Georgia Military College is dedicated to shaping our nation’s future leaders and exposing students from around the state of Georgia to all that GMC can offer is just one way we show our dedication to forging servant-leaders.”

GMC extends its gratitude to the participating high schools, students, and partners whose active involvement made the event a success.
