GMC expands discount for law enforcement families

Georgia Military College (GMC) is extending the GMC Law Enforcement & Public Safety Scholarship to now include spouses and dependents when they enroll at GMC-Main Campus, one of its eight satellite campuses around the state of Georgia, or at GMC’s Global Online Leadership College.

GCSU hosts largest family weekend

Georgia College & State University hosted its largest ever Family Weekend Sept. 29 - Oct. 1. Family Weekend is an annual event that invites the families of current students onto campus to learn more about their students’ college experience and the city of Milledgeville.

BHS hosts Oconee Classic Marching Band contest

Baldwin High School hosted its annual Oconee Classic Marching Band contest Sept. 30 on the football field. This year marked the 12th anniversary of the competition and Director of Bands James McMillan’s seventh year organizing the event.

Baldwin schools surpass statewide graduate rate

According to the latest report from the Georgia Department of Education, the Baldwin County School District (BCSD) has achieved a graduation rate of 89.2% in 2023, surpassing the statewide average of 84.4%. Georgia calculates a four-year adjusted cohort graduation rate as required by federal law.
