First Friday: Masters In Milly

Last Friday kicked off a Masters-themed First Friday in downtown Milledgeville. The monthly event took inspiration from the renowned Augusta golf tournament to create something that everyone in the community could participate in.

The American Red Cross is asking Georgians statewide to help patients in need by making an appointment to give blood or platelets. The Red Cross said donors of all blood types remain critical to keeping momentum up and the state’s blood supply stable as spring begins.

The people of Milledgeville shared a night under the stars March 25 in the warm spring heat as the community celebrated the 101st birthday of novelist Flannery O’Connor.The celebration was held at Andalusia Farm the former home of O’Connor.

Students and community members in Milledgeville have a chance to experience live music in a relaxed and welcoming setting at “Music at The Mill,” a free monthly event hosted by New City Church at the Mill.Held at The Mill on the last Friday of every month, the event begins at 7 p.m.

Every Spring, Georgia College & State University hosts its spring concert event available to students and alumni. The concert features three acts, including a the winner of Battle of the Bobcats.

Downtown Milledgeville will take on a fresh springtime feel with a golf-inspired twist during April’s First Friday event, “Masters in Milly,” happening April 3 from 5-8 p.m. This month’s event is presented by Hyundai of Milledgeville and sponsored by Caddy’s Corner.
