Lake Sinclair’s Aquapalooza returns to kick off summer fun

Aquapalooza returned to kick off the summer on Lake Sinclair this past weekend. Hosted by Wide Open Entertainment, the annual event brought hundreds of locals by boat and land to enjoy live music and great food.The free event began at noon on Saturday, May 31.

Lake Oconee Elks Lodge No. 2849 volunteers visited the Georgia War Veterans home in Milledgeville on May 27 to host a cookout for 42 of the veterans who live there.

MGC president shares gardening tips for National Garden Week

Ana Edwards has been gardening for nearly two decades. Currently, she is the president of Milledgeville Garden Club, a group founded in 1929.Today, the group has 51 members and meets monthly from September through May.From June 1-7 Edwards and gardeners across the U.S.

Milledgeville honors military heroes at Duke’s

For the sixth straight year, Duke’s Lounge and Dawg House hosted its Memorial Day tradition, the solemn playing of “Taps,” by trumpeter Col.Larry McClendon.

Exchange Bank awards scholarship to GMC student

Exchange Bank announced Caden Loyd as the recipient of its 2025 Baldwin County area scholarship. Loyd, a graduating senior of Georgia Military College Preparatory School, was honored with the $1,500 scholarship by Exchange Bank President and CEO John Childs during GMC’s recent Senior Honors Night.
