Milledgeville lit its downtown tree on Dec. 5 despite the rainy day and cancellation of the Holiday on Hancock events. As part of the lighting, Milledgeville Main Street brought December’s first snow to its downtown streets.

Georgia Power (GP) and the Atlanta Falcons have teamed up to spread holiday spirit through Georgia Power’s Light Up the Holidays Contest. From now until Dec. 12, customers are invited to share how they’re “lighting up the holidays,” either with festive decorations or acts of community service.
