Baldwin (1-3) finally got in the win column after defeating Washington County (0-4) in a thriller on Friday. The Braves left the House of Pain with a 35-28 victory over the Golden Hawks. Baldwin went through the gauntlet through the first three weeks of the year.

John Milledge Academy (3-0) remained perfect on Friday with a rout of George Walton Academy (1-3). The Trojans blanked the Bulldogs 48-0 after having a bye the previous week. John Milledge won its 40th straight game on Friday.

Georgia College & State University (3-3) took two wins over King University and Coker College. The Bobcats kicked off the Mars Hill Tournament against the King University Tornados and beat them in three sets. Callie Miller of Allatoona led the team in kills with 13.
