Schley County quarterback Jay Kanazawa threw for 195 yards and four TDs, going to three different wide receivers, in a 51-0 win over GMC Prep on Friday. Wildcats’ running back Malachi Banks also had a productive night.

Bulldogs clinch SEC East with W over Miss State

Top-ranked Georgia checked off another box Saturday on its list of goals this season: clinch the SEC East. The Bulldogs traveled to Starkville to take on Mississippi State and came away with a 45-19 win.

Bulldogs prepare for second consecutive road game

After traveling to Starkville to defeat Mississippi State 45-19 last Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs (10-0, 7-0) will have to head back on the road to take on the Kentucky Wildcats (6-4, 3-4) this weekend.

The Middle Georgia Catfish Anglers tournament trail ended its 2022 season this past weekend and the biggest catch seemed to be a surprise to the angler, even though he’s caught his share of monster catfish over the years.

Trojans notch close win on historic night

John Milledge Academy quarterback Briggs Eady accounted for all of the team’s four TDs, and made an important play on defense at the end of the game, as the Trojans defeated region foe Tattnall Square Academy 28-21 last Friday night in Macon.

Braves dominate Griffin, secure playoff bid

The final game of the regular season ended on a high note for Baldwin Friday night. The Braves defeated Griffin 47-14 at Braves Field for their first home victory of 2022. A pair of players - running back Micah Welch and linebacker Nasir Robinson had special nights.

GCSU Volleyball named No. 4 for Peach Belt Conference tourney

Georgia College & State University (GCSU) Volleyball picked up the No. 4 seed for the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Tournament after finishing its regular season with a 7-8 record. The conference made the change this year for teams to play each other three times.

GCSU soccer concludes first season under Marchant

Georgia College & State University (GCSU) soccer ended its 2022 fall season with a 5-8-3 overall record, going 4-4-2 in the Peach Belt Conference. Under new head coach Jack Marchant, the Bobcats opened their season Aug. 26, on the road in Florida for a two-game slate.
