It wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win as top-ranked Georgia defeated Vanderbilt 37-20 to improve to 7-0. The Commodores were 32-point underdogs entering Saturday and gave the heavily favored Bulldogs a run for their money, trailing by 10 points late in the game, but couldn’t pull off the upset.

GCSU cross country finishes second in Royals Cross Country Challenger

The Georgia College & State University (GCSU) men’s and women’s cross country teams finished as runners-up at the Royals Cross Country Challenger, hosted by Queens University of Charlotte, Oct. 6 at McAlpine Greenway Park.

Carrie Consolino scored a goal with under five minutes to go in leading Clayton State University to a 2-1 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) win over the Georgia College & State University (GCSU) women's soccer team Oct. 4 at Bobcat Field.
Sophomore Cohen Brooks (40) has been in on 25 tackles so far this season for JMA, including 10 solo takedowns. Meanwhile, Keontae Whipple (16) has been effective on both sides of the ball, and after just six games this year, Bud Veal (3) has already exceeded his total yards gained (645) and matched his touchdown total (9) from last season’s 13-game campaign.

John Milledge Academy (6-0) begins district play this Friday at 7:30 p.m. as it hosts Stratford Academy (4-3, 0-1 District 6) at Trojan Field in Milledgeville.

Bobcats take down USCA in PC tournament

The Georgia College & State University (GCSU) women's soccer team defeated the University of South Carolina-Aiken 4-3 in a Peach Belt Conference match Oct. 7 at the Pacer Pit. The Bobcats improved to 5-4-2 overall and to 2-2-1 in the Peach Belt, while the Pacers fell to 1-5-1 and 0-4-1.

Smart, Bulldogs look to stay perfect in Nashville

After handily defeating the No. 20-ranked Kentucky Wildcats in Sanford Stadium last Saturday, the Georgia Bulldogs now prepare to travel to Nashville this weekend.

Beck has career night as Georgia defeats Wildcats

Everything went as planned for Carson Beck in No. 1 Georgia’s 51-13 win over No. 20 Kentucky on Saturday. The Jacksonville, Fla., native set career highs in passing yards, completions, and touchdowns completed, with 28-of-35 passes connecting for 389 yards, and four passing scores.
