The John Milledge Academy (JMA) Trojans boys’ basketball team opened its season last Friday with a 61-42 road win over the Dominion Christian Knights of Marietta.
Three days later, JMA visited Windsor Academy of Macon and came away with a 69-52 decision, again over the Knights.

One of the greatest runs in Georgia high school football history came to an end last Thursday when John Milledge Academy (JMA) lost 42-21 to Valwood in the GIAA 3A state championship game at Mercer University’s Five Star Stadium in Macon.

Milroe steers Alabama to SEC title win over Georgia

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe helped the No. 1 Crimson Tide knock off No. 1 Georgia 27-24 in the SEC Championship game, snapping the Bulldogs’ 29-game winning streak Saturday.
While his stat line wasn’t great, Milroe shined in the biggest moments, leading Alabama to the win.

In another lopsided victory last Friday, the John Milledge Academy (JMA) Trojans beat the Pinewood Patriots 63-28 on Nov. 24 to secure their spot in the GIAA Class 3A state championship game this Thursday in Macon.

Georgia swats Yellow Jackets, finish season 12-0

Georgia finished its third-straight season with a 12-0 record after defeating Georgia Tech 31-22 at Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday in Atlanta.
Georgia’s active winning streak is now at 29 games. Dating back to the 2020 season, the Bulldogs have won 45 of their last 46 contests.

Six student-athletes earn CSC Academic All-District honors

Georgia College & State University (GCSU) had six student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Academic All-District Team.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.

Pickleball fundraiser proves profitable

By all accounts, a pickleball fundraiser Nov. 18 at the Baldwin County Recreation Complex was immensely successful.
The one-day tournament was jointly hosted by the Milledgeville Exchange Club and the Milledgeville Pickleball Club.
