GMC Prep heating up

The Georgia Military College Prep (GMCP) Bulldogs have been on a hot streak since the start of the month going 8-3 as of March 30. The Bulldogs have held the lead in GHSA A D2, Region Five throughout the season, going 8-0 in region play since March 3.

‘BIG WE, LITTLE ME’

The John Milledge Academy (JMA) Trojans enjoyed a thrilling week of baseball, winning three times in four days last week, including twice over region rival Piedmont Academy.

GMC Prep baseball shows ‘confidence’

The Georgia Military College Prep (GMCP) Bulldogs continued their successful start in region play by beating Glascock County in both meetings last week. The baseball Bulldogs defeated the Panthers 12-2 in Milledgeville last Tuesday and 19-12 in Gibson on Friday.

Spring practice provides opportunity for UGA

ATHENS — As Kirby Smart and the Georgia football team take the field to open spring practice, the tone surrounding the program suggests a mix of urgency, transition, and opportunity.

The John Milledge Academy (JMA) Trojans picked up a pair of wins and a loss last week, then added another win on Monday night to improve their record to 8-2.

Trojans perfect following loss

The John Milledge Academy (JMA) Trojans baseball team had a very strong bounce back from their only loss of the season so far against Strong Rock Christian.The Trojans have gone 3-0 since the loss, improving their record to 5-1.

Georgia College and State University (GCSU) Bobcats starting pitcher and Milledgeville native Keaton Prior put his name in the GCSU baseball record book by throwing the school’s first no-hitter since Feb. 26, 2000. Prior’s feat came Feb. 28 against the University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB).

Dogs continue winning streak

The Georgia Military Prep (GMCP) Bulldogs extended their region win streak to 4-0 with a pair of wins over the Georgia School for Innovation and Classics (GSIC).

GMC Prep moves above .500 on the season

Georgia Military Prep (GMCP) found early success in region play going 2-0 against Wilkinson County to bring their record above .500 at 7-6, tying the Bulldogs with Glascock County for the GHSA A D2 region 5 lead.
