On March 11, law enforcement responded to Walmart, at 2592 N.Columbia St., in reference to a shoplifting. The suspect was last seen running toward IHOP. An officer located the male, later identified as John Thomas Polk Sr., who stated he was coming from IHOP.

BOE names sole finalist for superintendent

The Baldwin County Board of Education announced Dr. Kristina Brooks as the sole finalist for the position of superintendent following an extensive selection process. She will replace the current superintendent, Dr. Noris Price, who will retire on June 30.

FBCA sends deaf dog on her way to a ‘furever’ home

Friends of Baldwin County Animals (FBCA) partnered with Heart of Georgia and Mid-Atlantic Germans Shepherd Rescue to save Mila, a three-year-old German Shepherd, from being euthanized.

Georgia Military College Fine Arts Assistant Director Major Jenny Morris was inducted into the Georgia Thespians Hall of Fame. The announcement was made at the Georgia Thespians Conference in early February in Columbus, according to a press release.
