BCSD launches Therapy Dog Program at Midway Hills

In a continued effort to support literacy across Baldwin County, Midway Hills Primary School partnered with the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program, introducing specially trained therapy dogs into their library.

Commissioners sign off on new spay/neuter ordinance

The Baldwin County Board of Commissioners has been promoting a new amendment to the Animal Control Ordinance, signed on April 15, that adds a requirement for pet owners to spay and neuter their pets to prevent unwanted pregnancies.

GDOT to replace 76-year-old bridge; closing major roadway

A Georgia Department of Transportation contractor will close United States 441 Business/State Route 29 Business at Fishing Creek this week to repair the 76-year-old Mayor Harry G. Bone Bridge, originally constructed in 1949. It is below current design standards, according to a GDOT press release.
