James “Jimmy” Joel Childre Sr., 94, owner of Childre Nissan in Milledgeville, passed away passed away Friday, Dec. 12, surrounded by his family.According to his obituary, Childre was the son of the late Joel Ernest and Emeline James Childre and grew up in Reynolds.

Veterans Memorial Cemetery hosts Wreath Across America

The Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery (GVMC) participated in a nationwide initiative Dec. 13 to honor those who have served in the military with a Wreaths Across America ceremony. Wreaths Across America is a national movement to ensure veterans have a wreath placed upon their graves each December.
