Commissioners changing vehicle policy; adopt FY23 budget

The Baldwin County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday and approved a program that will lease out new vehicles to departments county-wide. The commissioners unanimously approved a resolution to adopt the Fiscal Year of 2023 budget that begins on Jan. 1 and ends on Dec. 31 of 2023.

For a couple of months now trees have been transitioning into dormancy, and their leaves have been falling. By now most of the leaves have fallen. To some this display makes for a beautiful backdrop for a family picture. Some see the leaves falling in conjunction with the celebration of the harvest.

Residents report missing items at Colonial Village Mobile Park On Nov. 30, law enforcement was dispatched to Colonial Village Mobile Park in reference to a burglary. One victim returned home to find their door had been smashed in.

On Dec. 1, law enforcement observed an SUV turn left onto Vinson Highway from Laying Farm Road without stopping at the stop sign. A traffic stop was conducted, and a white pickup truck pulled alongside the police car.
