Woman shoplifts $61 worth of merchandise
On April 18, law enforcement was dispatched to Walmart in reference to shoplifting. Laurie Pizzulo was detained for skip-scanning items. The total value of items not paid for was $61.20.
While reviewing the CCTV footage of the incident, it was found Pizzulo had outstanding warrants through Ohio for various offenses. Pizzulo was issued a citation for theft by shoplifting and was later taken into custody and turned over to jail staff.
Burglar steals electronics from home on Lakeside Drive
On April 21, law enforcement was dispatched to a residence on Lakeside Drive in reference to a burglary. The complainant stated he left home April 20 and returned April 21 to find the side door to his home had been kicked in, as there was noticeable damage to the door. A Dell Laptop (valued at $500), a Sharp 55-inch Television (valued at $750) and approximately $30-40 in cash were reported missing. The complainant stated they did not know who broke into the home and did not have cameras at their residence.
Law enforcement initiates traffic stop for safety of driver
On April 22, law enforcement responded to a call for service on 5th Street, enroute observed a vehicle traveling over the double yellow line and off the road, over the white fog line. The Ford Crown Victoria was traveling in the area of Lockerly Arboretum, located on Irwinton Road. The vehicle was reported to also begin traveling down the center of the roadway just before Allen Memorial Drive. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver of the vehicle, Naquavis Prosser, advised he did not have a license. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage came from Prosser’s person. Prosser’s license was reported as suspended. Prosser completed the field sobriety testing which designated him to be impaired. Prosser was placed in handcuffs, and was transported to the jail. He was issued citations for DUI, driving while license suspended and failure to maintain lane.
Hit and run on Highway 22 East
On April 22, law enforcement responded to Highway 22 East in reference to a hit and run. The complainant stated he was struck by a burgundy Ford truck. Reportedly, the truck turned left and was heading west on Highway 22 toward Milledgeville. Law enforcement checked the Flock Camera System while enroute to the incident location and saw a burgundy Ford F-150 passing the camera at Highway 22 and Lake Laurel Road. The vehicle was registered to Stanley Reeves. The passenger with the complainant stated they knew the offender was named Stanley but had no further details. With these details, law enforcement left the location and went to Reeves’ home address. The suspect vehicle was located, parked behind the residence. The vehicle had damage on the driver-side rear, consistent with the collision, including a broken driver- side tail light and paint transfer on the steel bumper. Law enforcement attempted contact with Reeves, but no one would come to the door. A warrant was secured for hit and run for Stanley Reeves.
Unknown individuals spray-paint Belk
On April 24, law enforcement responded to Belk, on North Columbia Street, regarding damage to property.
The manager of Belk advised unknown subjects spray-painted different sayings and smiley faces on the rear of the building and the dumpster. There are no surveillance cameras in that direction so no suspects have been identified.
