No. 1 Bulldogs run away from Vanderbilt, improve to 7-0

It wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win as top-ranked Georgia defeated Vanderbilt 37-20 to improve to 7-0.
The Commodores were 32-point underdogs entering Saturday and gave the heavily favored Bulldogs a run for their money, trailing by 10 points late in the game, but couldn’t pull off the upset.

Sophomore Cohen Brooks (40) has been in on 25 tackles so far this season for JMA, including 10 solo takedowns. Meanwhile, Keontae Whipple (16) has been effective on both sides of the ball, and after just six games this year, Bud Veal (3) has already exceeded his total yards gained (645) and matched his touchdown total (9) from last season’s 13-game campaign.

Bobcats take down USCA in PC tournament

The Georgia College & State University (GCSU) women's soccer team defeated the University of South Carolina-Aiken 4-3 in a Peach Belt Conference match Oct. 7 at the Pacer Pit.
The Bobcats improved to 5-4-2 overall and to 2-2-1 in the Peach Belt, while the Pacers fell to 1-5-1 and 0-4-1.
