A Georgia Military College football player was announced deceased Dec. 15 after his home in Rock Cliff Court, Stone Mountain caught on fire.
According to the Atlanta First broadcast, the homeowner was 21-year-old Izaiah Taylor’s grandfather. He confirmed the morning of Dec. 16 that Taylor had passed due to the fire.
“Crews responded to the fire on Rock Cliff Court shortly after 1 p.m., according to a spokesperson for the DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department,” published Atlanta First. “A neighbor told firefighters they believed someone was inside the home during the fire. Crews later found Taylor dead.”
