Baldwin County debuts Real Time Crime Center

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Oct. 2 for the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) and the re-grand opening of the 911 Call Center.Applause filled the building as attendees toured the facility.

Two lives lost in house fire on Hubbard Drive

Two people lost their lives Friday morning in a house fire on Hubbard Drive in Baldwin County. Baldwin County Fire & Rescue Deputy Chief of Operations Bradley Towe identified the victims as 77-year-old Margaret Moss and 61-year-old Brian Moss, both of whom lived at the home at 108 Hubbard Drive.

Resources available for government shutdown

The U.S. government officially shut down Oct. 1 due to a lapse of funding. According to the Congressional Research Service, when Federal government agencies and programs lack budget authority after the expiration of either full-year or interim appropriations, they experience a “funding gap.
