Men caught with marijuana On Dec. 20, while observing traffic at the corner of Elbert Street and Vinson Highway, an officer observed a white Honda Accord fail to stop at the stop sign before turning right onto Vinson Highway.

JMA teammates earn all-state honors

Gerald Wayne Hammock, 80, of Moultrie, passed away Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025. Survivors include a son, David Hammock; daughters, Sheila McClain and Mary Woods, all of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Matt Johnson, Lauren Johnson, Noah McClain and Jacob Hammock.

On Dec. 16, law enforcement was dispatched to a theft in progress at Walmart. Walmart’s Asset Protection manager stated the male that the man fled in a red Camaro parked by the back door of the automotive section.
