Approximately 62 GCSU students attended the Community Action Poverty Simulation to learn about the emotional, physical, and mental struggles relating to living in poverty. Many students left the simulation with a higher level of empathy and desire to help those facing these struggles.

GCSU hosts Community Action Poverty Simulation

Georgia College & State University’s College of Health Sciences hosted a Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) on March 24. CAPS is a virtual reality simulation designed by the Community Action Poverty Simulation in Missouri. Last Friday, approximately 62 GCSU students attended the simulation.

Je’Mazin Roberts reads new book to JMA students

When someone decides to write a book, they can go in multiple directions; they can write a novel, a comic book, etc. But for Je’Mazin Roberts, a two-time high school state football champion and three-time high school region football champion, the only reasonable type of book was one for children.

GMC Prep welcomes fifth Broadway star

Georgia Military College Preparatory School (GMC Prep) was thrilled to welcome Broadway Star, Adam Jacobs, to campus for the Elementary School Fine Arts production of Disney’s Aladdin Jr. As part of GMC Prep School’s Guest Artist Series, Jacobs is the fifth Broadway star to visit in the past year.

Baldwin County schools host and perform in District Honor Band

Baldwin High School hosted the Central Middle Georgia’s District Honor Band for a community-wide concert last month. The Central Middle Georgia area district has two middle school honor bands, one ninth-and tenth-grade honor band and one eleventh-and twelfth-grade honor band.
