Galentine’s Day’ gains momentum at the Morning Grind

The Morning Grind coffee shop has served the city of Milledgeville's local and student populations for nearly three years and its popularity shows no signs of slowing down. On Feb. 12 the small business hosted its 2nd annual “Galentine’s Day” event.

Former fire chief honored during Black History Month

Throughout February, the city of Milledgeville has celebrated Black History Month by recognizing the contributions of Black leaders in the community. Among those honored is recently retired Fire Chief Victor Young, whose decades of service have left a lasting impact on Baldwin County.

The Friends of the Mary Vinson Memorial Library 2025 Used Book Sale was a success. The organization thanked local and surrounding communities for coming out to the sale, its volunteers and business donors for making this “a phenomenal year.
