Nutrition Department explores innovative cooking methods

GWVH hosts inaugural Foodie Friday Food Fair

The Georgia War Veterans Home (GWVH) is cooking up more than just food with its Foodie Friday Food Fair.While the event is starting small, with just a few options avaliable, Activities Director Michelle Flood’s goal is for it to become a weekly event.

Allied Arts hosts dual exhibits for September

Allied Arts hosted the opening reception for its two September exhibits featuring Haley Warner and Molly Fox.Warner is a “multi-talented artist” with work on display from paintings to fabric creation. She is a mother of four and has been doing art since she was a child.

Bad Company wins Georgia Tag Team Championship

Downtown Milledgeville was full of cheers, arguments, loud crashing, and the roars of fans and wrestlers alike as over 200 people gathered to watch five rounds of wrestling hosted by Georgia Classic Wrestling. The event was present by Milledgeville Main Street’s First Friday program.

JMA dedicates gym floor

John Milledge Academy debuted its new gymnasium floor Sept. 5 in a dedication ceremony to former Head of School Larry Prestige.“Larry Prestige has been around for a long time. He took our school to another level,” said Athletic Director J.T. Wall.
