Southern Gothic Gravel Roll Race rides into Milledgeville

Visit Milledgeville announced that the Southern Gothic Gravel Roll, a cycling race, will take place at Walter B. Williams Park on Saturday, Nov. 1. Riders will navigate scenic gravel routes, experiencing challenging terrain and the natural beauty of the region.

Rooted in community: Deep Roots 22nd anniversary

The Deep Roots Festival returned Oct. 18 for its 22nd year in downtown Milledgeville. The annual event remained free to attend, giving visitors access to an artisan market, car show, concert stage, and family-friendly activities.

GCSU debuts new Music Rehearsal Hall

Georgia College hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house Oct. 10 for its new $4.45 million Music Rehearsal Hall, the university’s first space built specifically for music and choral rehearsal.

Faith & Blue sparks community through fellowship

Milledgeville locals gathered downtown Oct. 3 to celebrate the national Faith & Blue weekend. The initiative is designed to strengthen relationships among the community, local churches, and law enforcement through collaboration and outreach projects.

GMC Prep earns awards at Oconee Classic Marching Band Competition

Georgia Military College Prepatory College won various awards at the Oconee Classic Marching Band Competition held annually by Baldwin High School.Assistant Principal of GMC Prep and High School Band Director Clint Raburn founded the competition when he worked at Baldwin High School in 2011.
