‘MLM is for Murder’ brings realism to comedy

I recently saw Georgia College’s production of “MLM (multilevel marketing) is for Murder” presented by its Department of Theatre & Dance. The production had a small cast on a small stage in the college’s Black Box Theatre in downtown Milledgeville.

The Lake Oconee Elks hosted a fish fry Oct. 28 at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville. They served over 50 lbs. of fileted fish and sides to 47 veterans in the recreation center and provided 12 to-go meals to 12 nonmobile veterans along with 23 staff members. Lake Oconee Elks thanks Chairman Mike De Petrillo and his volunteers for making it a great event for the veterans. CONTRIBUTED

Lakeview Academy named 2025 Title I Reward School

Lakeview Academy School was named a 2025 Title I Reward School by the Georgia Department of Education, meaning it is in the top 5% of Title I schools in the state for making the most progress in improving performance in English Language Arts and Mathematics.
