Trojans top Trojans in 28-17 loss for JMA

Despite a come-frombehind attempt that fell 11 points shy of the Tattnall Square Academy (TSA) last Friday night in Macon, John Milledge Academy (JMA) put together one of its best games of the season. The hometown Trojans held on to a 28-17 victory over the visitors with the same team name.

Dawgs defeat No. 1 Texas with ‘intent’

AUSTIN, TEXAS – Georgia head coach Kirby Smart is known for his passionate pre-game speeches, and what he conveyed to his players before last Saturday’s game against No. 1 Texas clearly worked.

Resiliency is key to success

For those of you reading this, I’m still reeling off my trip to Austin after watching Georgia whoop Texas.First of all, if you ever get a chance to visit Austin, it’s a great place. There are plenty of places to eat and drink. There are also a lot of great comedy clubs and music venues.

FPD hands JMA 49-21 loss at home

John Milledge Academy (JMA) showed improvement last Friday night at home versus First Presbyterian Day (FPD), but the Vikings ultimately proved to be too much for the young Trojans to handle.

GMC Prep Raiders qualify for nationals

Georgia Military College (GMC) Prep School’s Raider Teams delivered an outstanding performance at the Bulldog Invitational Raider Challenge on Saturday, Oct. 12th, securing top spots. They will head off next Thursday to compete in the National Championships at Fort Knox, Ky.

GMC Prep shows promise in comeback attempt

The GMC Prep Bulldogs made a solid comefrom- behind attempt on Homecoming night last Friday against the Twiggs County Cobras but came up short in a 24-17 decision at Davenport Field in Milledgeville.

Dawgs’ comeback falls just short

TUSCALOOSA – With less than a minute left in Saturday’s top-10 matchup against Alabama, Georgia’s Carson Beck tossed an interception in the endzone, sealing a 41-34 win for the Crimson Tide.The Bulldogs quarterback wasn’t sharp at times against Alabama, turning the ball over four times in the loss.

Bulldogs putting Bama loss in rearview, prepare for Auburn

After losing to Alabama, Georgia looks to rebound as it faces rival Auburn this week at home.The Bulldogs, now ranked No. 5 nationally, enter the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry with a 3-1 overall record and 1-1 mark in the SEC. The Tigers are 2-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

The John Milledge Academy (JMA) Trojans dropped to 1-5 for the season after losing to the Brentwood Eagles in a lopsided 33-6 final from Sandersville.
