GMC honors golf teams at Mason Cup Ceremony

Georgia Military College celebrated its men’s and women’s golf teams May 12 at their annual Mason Cup Ceremony. They recognized the accomplishments of the teams and honored the sophomores for their dedication and contributions. They also awarded the coveted Mason Cup.

Bobcats’ golf season ends in Augusta at PBC championship

Quarterbacks compete at G-Day

Georgia wrapped up spring practice this past Saturday with its annual G-Day scrimmage, showcasing the competition for the starting quarterback job between Gunner Stockton and Ryan Puglisi.Both Bulldog quarterbacks struggled at times, but each also made some nice plays while under center.

GMC Prep whips Wilkinson on senior night

The GMC Prep varsity baseball team dominated senior night Mar. 27, with a 15-0 shutout of Wilkinson County. The Thursday-night victory improved the Bulldogs to 11-10 overall, ranking them third in Georgia 1A D2 Region 5.

Bears beat Baldwin to win Class 3A title

A strong second-half performance led Cherokee Bluff to upset Baldwin’s girls in the Class 3A championship last week.The Bears denied the Bravettes, who claimed the Class 4A state title last year, a chance to repeat with a 66-58 victory at the Macon Coliseum on March 5.

JMA shuts out Vidalia Heritage in home opener

JMA’s varsity baseball team is back in action and dominated its home opener Feb. 27 against Vidalia Heritage Academy. After posting a 10-0 shutout over the Eagles, the Trojans have a 3-0 overall record and are ranked first in the GIAA 3A/4A region.
