Baldwin High School hosted the charity First Responders Basketball Tournament Oct. 22.
In an effort to provide support and hope to mothers who have tragically lost a child to violence, the First Responders Basketball Tournament was held at Baldwin High School.
The tournament was created with the mission to support grieving mothers and provide them with the resources they need to heal and find hope again. Violence affects not only the victim but also their families, and we are committed to helping these mothers rebuild their lives.
'We believe that no mother should have to endure the pain of losing a child to violence alone.
By uniting as a community, we can provide these grieving mothers with the support they need to heal and find hope,' said Kay McGiboney of the Regan Kay Real Estate Group, one of the sponsors for the event.
In a display of camaraderie and community support, first responders from all walks of life gathered for a memorable charity basketball event.
The event was a success on every level, not just in terms of fundraising but in fostering a sense of togetherness among our local first responders and the community they serve.
