John Griffin, 88, passed away on Sept. 19, 2026. Peoples Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
The service is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26 at 11 a.m. at Coopers Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Rosie Coleman Griffi n; his daughters, Fannie Griffi n, Theresa (David) Griffi n, Wyndi (Michael) Willis, and Krissy Sowells, all residing in St. Louis, Missouri; his sons, Kenneth (Debra) Griffi n, Anthony Griffi n, both of St. Louis, Missouri, Travis Griffi n of Syracuse, New York, John Edward (Linda) Griffi n of Milledgeville, Georgia, Gregory Griffi n of Syracuse, New York, and Ira Lingo of Texas. He also leaves behind his sister, Mary Louise Griffi n Williams, of Milledgeville, Georgia; brothers, Cary (Patricia) Griffi n, Willie Griffi n, both of Milledgeville, Georgia, and John Burney of Syracuse, New York; 28grandchildren, numerous
great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends.
