Doyle Boyd, 92, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Williams Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Visitation is set for today (March 12) between 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at First Methodist Church, with the service to immediately follow. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris; 4 children: Two by his first marriage: Brian Boyd (Marie) of Texas, and Peter Boyd (Karlene), and two by his current wife: Lancie V. Quon (Arno) of Lake Oconee, and (Frank) Doyle F. Boyd II (Bridget) of Milledgeville; Seven grandchildren: Jonathan Quon (Bri), Cameron Quon (Hannah), Rebecca Boyd (Will), and Carson Boyd, Allison Williamson (Alex), Brianna Williams (Alex), and Morrison Hodgman; Five great-grandchildren: Justin and Reece Williamson, Kinslee Quon, Willow Francis Harrison, and Theodore River Quon. On March 23, 1968, he married his beloved wife, Doris. In 1971, he moved with his family to Milledgeville to work at the Youth Development Center in a supervisory capacity. In 1979, he transferred to Central State Hospital as a Senior Social Worker. He served as a Field Instructor for UGA Social Work students. He retired in 2000 , with a total of 32 years of service in Georgia.
