The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Awards Dinner & Gala last Saturday in the Magnolia Ballroom on Georgia College & State University’s campus.
Throughout the evening, the Chamber recognized the top finalists for Small Business of the Year:
• Amici – Milledgeville
• Central Insurance Group
• Medical Arts Pharmacy
• Pettigrew & Pettigrew CPAs In the end, Medical Arts Pharmacy was named the 2025-26 Small Business of the Year, earning the top honor for its commitment to community engagement and continued business growth.
Meanwhile, Fouts Bros. Inc. was awarded Large Business of the Year.
“The annual Awards Dinner & Gala is our opportunity to shine a light on the people and businesses that help Milledgeville-Baldwin County grow and thrive,” said Kara Lassiter, president & CEO of the Chamber. “It’s a night to pause and recognize the hard work, heart, and impact that’s happening all around us.”
Other award highlights from the evening included:
• Ambassador of the Year: Kensey Amerson, recognized for outstanding volunteer service and support of Chamber initiatives.
• Making a Difference in Milledgeville Award: Brighter Days Ministry, recognized for ongoing efforts to serve and enrich the quality of life in the community.
• Rising Star Award: Amy Loerzel of Mutual of Omaha Mortgage, honored for her growth, exceptional service, and meaningful engagement in the Milledgeville-Baldwin County community.
Century Bank & Trust was the presenting sponsor. Nearly 200 guests were in attendance.
