Nicole Isaac Photography exhibit captures beauty in everyday moments

The John Marlor Art Center is currently hosting a new photography exhibit by Nicole Isaac, running April 7- 28. The exhibit is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving students and community members a chance to experience her work up close.

Isaac’s photography focuses on both the natural and built environment, highlighting moments that people might normally overlook.

Her images range from peaceful scenes like birds flying over water to detailed shots of historic buildings and rural landscapes.

Each photo feels intentional and emotional, showing her strong attention to color, lighting, and composition.

What makes this exhibit stand out is how it encourages viewers to slow down. Instead of rushing past everyday sights, Isaac’s work reminds people to actually notice what is around them. There is a sense of calm throughout the exhibit, but also a quiet intensity that makes each image feel meaningful.

The collection also reflects a strong connection to place. Many of the photos capture scenes that feel familiar, especially to those in small towns like Milledgeville. At the same time, the images highlight the beauty and character in those spaces, making them feel new again.

This exhibit offers an easy and accessible way for students to engage with art on campus.

Whether you are into photography or just looking for something different to do during the week, it is worth stopping by and taking a look.
