Leo Veal, Jr., 75, passed away on April 12, 2026. Peoples Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors at 230 Michelle Road NW from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. each day leading up the service, which will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 18 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on North Jefferson Street. He is survived by his three sons three Sons, Eric (Angela) Veal, Sr., Dexter (Katrina) Veal Sr., and Rodney (Tanisha) Veal, eight Grandchil - dren: Teraneaka Harden, Dexter Veal Jr., Eric Veal Jr., Detavius Veal, Dylan Veal, Ericka Veal, Antavious Veal, and Kalia Veal; Six Great-grandchildren: Halia Hurst, Prince Giles, Na'Kayla Harden, Jamauri Taylor, Aris Veal, and Ry'leigh Veal; sisters: Lula Davis, Lenora (Willie) Ashley, Essie Mae Carswell, Shirley Shy, Queen Veal, Gladys Wilson, Diane (Colum - bus) Brown, Rose Michelle (Derrick) Wilcher, and Dorothy (Reginald) Whipple: Brothers: Major (Tonnie) Veal, Leroy (Kimberly) Veal, Allen (Mary) Veal, Charles Veal, Edward (Wonsoretta) Veal, Vernon (Linda) S.anders, and Roger (Ann) Sanders; Sister-in-laws: Patricia Ann Jackson Hogan, Barbara Marie Jackson Vann, Ernestine Sanders and Virginia Sanders. Affectionately known as "Junior" by his family and friends, Veal had a deep love for country living, finding joy in raising farm animals and cultivating a variety of crops.
