• Joyce Truett Meier, 74, passed away on, April 2, 2026. Moores Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. The visitation is set for Sunday, April 12 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., with the service to follow. Survivors include her husband Gary W. Meier, Sr. of Gordon, her daughter Crystal Brooks Johnson of Milledgeville, a stepson Gary W. Meier, Jr. (Teresa) of Thomaston, stepdaughters Marjorie Acosta (Jacob) of Brunswick, two sisters Sheryl Hull (Burnett) of Macon, Sue Hagler of Murrayville, granddaughter Carly Johnson, and step granddaughter Clark Acosta and a number of nieces and nephews. Meier had made her home in Milledgeville for over 40 years. She worked in the business office at Baldwin County Hospital and worked as an administrative assistant with GA Cardiology Center.
