Lawrence Orr Lipscomb

Lawrence Orr Lipscomb, 84, passed away on Feb. 23, 2026. Williams Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. He is survived by wife, Helen Jackson Lipscomb of Milledgeville; daughter, Laura Lipscomb of Athens; sister, Sandy Griggers of Aiken, S.C.; and brother, Eddie Lipscomb (Josie) of Milledgeville. Lipscomb was a native of Toccoa and the son of the late George Lipscomb and the late Elizabeth Sellars Lipscomb. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Tech and his Masters Degree from Georgia College. He worked for Toccoa Casket Manufacturing as a Plant Manager and with Browning Metal Products in Sandersville. Lipscomb was a member of First Methodist Church in Milledgeville.
