    Baldwin County Fire Rescue, including Engine 8, Squad 17, Tanker 19, and Battalion 1, responded to a structure fire Jan. 1 regarding a 10x12 outbuilding.

    According to Deputy Fire Chief Bradley Towe with Baldwin County Fire Rescue, units arrived on scene to find a structure fully taken over with the surrounding grass burning slowly.

    “It was determined that fireworks were the potential cause of fire. Embers fell and caught the ground on fire, which led to the structure fire.”

    No injuries were reported at the incident.

    “Remember not to burn when it is windy or there is low humidity,” said Towe. “Always have a water source nearby to extinguish, if it were to get out.”
