Milledgeville police officers responded to reports of gunfire on the evening of Oct. 29 in the 200 block of Pritchard Street.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 27-year-old male victim was seated in his vehicle with his 11-month-old child when at least three individuals opened fire on the vehicle. The vehicle was struck multiple times, and the victim sustained at least one gunshot wound. An occupied residential apartment nearby was also struck by gunfire during the incident.
The victim fled the scene and drove to a family member’s residence on Robin Circle, where 911 was called. EMS personnel responded and transported the victim to Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, where he was treated for his injuries and later released. The 11-month-old child was unharmed.
MPD detectives quickly began investigating the incident and, as a result of their work, Kenihis Butts, 21, and three juveniles (names withheld due to age) were arrested in connection to the shooting.
Butts and one juvenile have been charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery, seven counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The remaining two juveniles were charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and seven counts of aggravated assault Detectives have also obtained outstanding warrants for Kentavious Goodman, 18, in connection with this case.
Goodman is wanted for conspiracy to commit armed robbery, seven counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
